Geofffrey Gangla
CEO
Geoffrey is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from Kenyatta University, Kenya. He joined Genghis Capital in August 2016 as Chief Executive from Pamoja Capital where he had been Managing Director and Group Head of Corporate Finance.

Geoffrey has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions having worked on a number of landmark cross-border M&A and financing deals involving businesses with operations in more than 30 African countries.

He lived and worked in South Africa between 2003 and 2006 and in Nigeria in 2007 and has a genuine appreciation of business opportunities, transaction origination and execution across the three major business hubs in Africa as well as an extensive business contacts. Geoffrey has worked in the financial advisory field in Africa since 1999.

He has also previously worked for First Africa Group (now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank), Renaissance Capital, and Equity Investment Bank.

Edward Wachira
Non Executive Director
Edward is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from Kenyatta University, Kenya.

He is the Managing Director at Pamoja Capital Limited – Kenya. Prior to joining the Pamoja Team, Edward worked for Kenya Airways both in Kenya and abroad, engaging partners and building a portfolio of extensive business contacts in more than 20 African countries.

Edward lived and worked in The Netherlands between 2002 and 2003 managing strategic partnership between Kenya Airways and KLM. In the strategic corporate planning assignments across Africa, he led negotiations and structured commercial agreements with partners resulting in the expansion of the airline into the Angola, Mozambique, D.R.C in Africa, and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East and Australia in the Far East.

Godwin Wangong'u
Non Executive Director (Independent)
Godwin Wangong’u holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is a Senior Partner at Mboya Wangong’u & Waiyaki Advocates.

Mr. Wangong’u was admitted to the Roll of Advocates of the High Court of Kenya in 1988 and began his legal practice with Nyachae & Company Advocates the same year. He later established the firm of Wangong’u & Company Advocates and has broad and extensive experience in Corporate and Commercial law.

He is a Patent and Trade Mark agent, a Commissioner of Oaths and a Notary Public.

He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya.

He heads the Tax Law Practice and is a member of the Corporate and Commercial and the Real Estate & Banking Practice

His areas of expertise include; Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisition, Privatisation & PPP’s, Capital Markets, Tax Law Planning, Technology Media & Telecoms, Intellectual Property and Energy & Infrastructure.
