Daily Market Monitor 24th October 2018

Equity turnover fell 94.52% to KES 331.8Mn compared to KES 6.04Bn in previous session. The high turnover in the previous session was due to a book over that traded on KenolKobil on acquisition of a 24.99% stake by Rubis Energie.
Foreign investor participation declined to 55.4% of total market turnover from 97.9% recorded in the previous session. Activity was mostly on Equity, Safaricom and KCB Group. Net buying activity was mainly on Bamburi Cement and Nation Media Group while net selling was mainly on KCB, Equity, and Safaricom. Foreign investors remained net sellers during the session.
